Mail.app by default organizes messages by thread, so related messages by subject or sender are grouped together. To change this behavior you can do so by changing the settings.
Uncheck View –> Organize by Conversation
The display will now show all emails individually. To re-enable it, go to View –> Organize by Conversation and check it.
