VSP cache can get very large on a Windows server; especially if it’s a Virtual Server.
To disable the VSP cache, perform the following steps.
1. In the NetBackup Admin Console, go to NetBackup Management –> Host Properties –> Clients –> Select your client and double click on it.
2. Click on the “Windows Client” in the Client Properties windows that appears and a drop down menu will appear.
3. Choose VSP.
4. Enter in the appropriate drive letters in the “VSP volume exclude list (drive letters separated by commas):” box.
5. If you want to exclude the C: and D: drives, enter the following in the dialog box:
C,D
NOTE: Be sure to only enter the drive letters and not C:,D: or any other variation.
